Anne-Marie Te Whiu is an Australian-born Māori who belongs to Te Rarawa iwi in Hokianga, Aotearoa NZ. She lives in Wangal Country in Australia. She is a cultural producer, festival director, writer, editor and weaver. Her writing, including poetry, fiction and non-fiction has been commissioned and published in journals and sites such across Australia and Aotearoa. She has worked broadly across the arts for the past 20 years and has received awards, residencies and fellowships for her creative practice. Most recently she editedWoven (Magabala 2024) and her forthcoming debut poetry collection titled Mettle will be published by University of Queensland Press in 2025.
