Jenny Davis is an essayist who teaches journalism at Gonzaga University. Jenny's work has appeared in literary magazines including Creative Nonfiction and Gettysburg Review; she has also served as the managing editor at Guernica, a journal of politics and art. She received her MFA from the University of Iowa and, before that, spent two years working with the Nieman Program for Narrative Journalism at Harvard University. She was also a recent Artist-in-Residence with the Spokane Public Libraries.
At Gonzaga, Jenny teaches journalism courses like Literary Journalism and Emerging Media, where students explore telling true stories in novel ways. Outside of the classroom, Jenny runs community writing workshops around Spokane and leads a monthly book club at the Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture.
